Top reviews for Marc Heller

American tenor Marc Heller's noted success in New York City Opera's "La Campana Sommersa" has yielded great notices, and led him further down his path into dramatic repertoire in the next several seasons, with role debuts on the horizon such as Edrisi in Symanowski's "Krol Roger"  at Dallas Opera, and as Tristan in in Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde".

New York Times' Anthony Tommasini wrote:

"The role of Enrico combines wistful, sometimes befuddled lyricism with feisty bursts that seem modeled on Wagner’s Siegfried. The muscular-voiced tenor Marc Heller met the demands impressively"

OpernWelt's David Shengold wrote:

“Schließlich sang Heller auch die Premiere – und demonstrierte eindrucksvoll, dass er der heiklen Partie in jedem Takt gewachsen war. Er teilte die Kräfte für diese schier unmöglich klingende Aufgabe vorbildlich ein, zog in so klar wie sinngenau artikuliertem Italienisch souverän gestaltete Linien mit weitem dynamischen Radius”

Siegmund debut for Magnus Vigilius
Magnus Vigilius has his long awaited debut as Siegmund in Esbjerg, Denmark on the 25th of August 2017 alongside a strong cast of singers such as Cornelia Beskow as Sieglinde and James Johnson as Wotan, under the direction of Kasper Wilton and baton of Lars Ole Mathiasen.

Mr. Vigilius follows a strong tradition of Wagner tenors from Denmark dating back more than 130 years from Vilhelm Herold over Lauritrz Melchior and Helge Rosvaenge to Poul Elming, Stig Fogh Andersen and David Danholt.

Among his future engagements ar roles in prestigious houses such as Royal Opera Stockholm, Danish National Opera, Teatro Regio Torino and Opéra de Dijon.
