Biography

Artem Golubev graduated from the Omsk F. M. Dostoevsky State University (academic vocal singing) and there upon took a two-years course of master-classes at the VocalArts Center of Paata Burchuladze in Omsk.
 
Among his recent and upcoming engagements are Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Alfredo in La Traviata, Vladimir Igorevich in Prince Igor, The Pretender in Boris Godunov, King Charles VII in The Maid of Orleans, Lykov in The Tsar’s Bride, Spaskos in Massenet’s Cleopatra (all at Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre), Cassio in Otello (Yekaterinburg), Alfredo in La Traviata (Syktyvkar), The Pretender in Boris Godunov, Gvidón in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tale of Tsar Saltan, Lensky in Eugene Onegin (all in Vladivistok), The Pretender in Boris Godunov (Cheboksary), The Pretender in Boris Godunov, Radames in Aida (Tatar State Opera and Ballet Kazan), Alfredo in La Traviata, Cavaradossi in Tosca, King Charles VII in The Maid of Orleans, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Illius in Hercules by Handel, The Pretender in Boris Godunov, Don Jose in Carmen (all Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ufa), Faust in Gounod’s Faust (Rostov State Musical Theater and Bolshoi Theater Moscow), tenor part in Stabat Mater Ave Maria by A. Karamanov (Perm), Alfredo in La Traviata (on tour in the UK), and Vladimir Igorevich in Prince Igor (Hamburg).
 
As a soloist, he collaborated with the Omsk State Philharmonic society (2007-2010), Novosibirsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (2010), Chelyabinsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of M.I. Glinka (2011), Yekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (2012), The Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow aswell as art project «The Tenors of the XXI Century» (2013), among other comppanies.
 
Artem Golubev’s repertoire includes such roles as Young Gipsy in Rahmaninov’s Aleko, Mozart in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Mozart and Salieri, Sobinin in Glinka’s A Life for the Tsar, Vaudemont and Almeric in Iolanta, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Duke in Rigoletto, and Romeo in Gounod’s Romeo and Juliette.
 
Artem Golubev became the laureate of Russian Students Competition in nomination Solo performance (2nd Prize) and nomination Vocal ensemble (3rd Prize, Yekaterinburg, 2006), the winner in V.T. Shtokolov International Contest of Vocalists (2nd Prize, St. Petersburg, 2009), International Young Singers Competition of Russian romantic lied (1st Prize, Tomsk, 2011, and Diploma, Moscow, 2011), and was awarded a diploma of the V. Shebalin All-Russian contest of vocalists (Omsk, 2012).
