Biography

The young Danish tenor Anders Kampmann started singing as a part of Herning Church Boys Choir, where his musical talent was quickly discovered. Anders studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with the voice teacher Bodil Oeland.
 
At concerts Anders has appeared with leading Danish symphony orchestras and has sung lyrical roles in the likes of Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and the title role of the operetta Farinelli. In Oratorios Anders has sung Händel´s Messias, Stainer´s The Crucifixion, Haydn’s Die Schöpfung and more.
 
His recent and future engagements include Barinkay (Der Zigeunerbaron at Theater Magdeburg), Sylviane (Die lustige Witve at Royal Danish Opera) and Rene (Fetes Galente at Danish National Opera).
 
In 2019 Anders sang the role of Don Ottavio (Mozart’s Don Juan) at Aarhus Summer Opera. Among his other recent projects, concerts with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Soenderjyllands Symphony Orchestra, Opera På Graensen and Operettekompagniet, singing the Tenor in Masterclass and Benvolio in Roméo et Juliette at Theater Magdeburg could be mentioned.
