Biography

David Danving (b. 1991) is born and raised in Assens and started his singing carrier at the age of 9 when he joined Assens Boys Singers, which is one of the oldest choirs in Denmark. Through several years as a boy singer, he developed a big interest in singing and music, which later on let to an admission at the Danish National Academy of Music.
 
In 2018 David graduated from The Royal Academy of Music with a Masters’ degree and have had Professor Helene Gjerris and well-known baritone Jens Søndergaard as his teachers.
 
His recent and future engagements include Nordkraftat Copenhagen Opera Festival, Smirrnov (Walton’s The Bear) at Vejle Musikteatre, The Guest in Børresen’s The Royal Guest at Helsingør Kammeropera, Die schöne Müllerinat Det Danske Sangselskab, Mozart’s Requiem with Vokalensemblet Fyen, and others.
 
David have already appeared in main roles in productions of The Royal Danish Opera, CPH Opera Festival, Den Fynske Opera, Opera Hedeland, SlotsOperaen and Odense Symphony Orchestra.
 
His repertoire includes Mozart’s Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) and Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Britten’s Lockit (The Beggar’s Opera), Henrik (Nielsen’s Masquerade), and others.
 
David often performs as a soloist in opera concerts and oratorios as Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem and Händel’s Messiah.
