Biography

The lyric Danish tenor Rasmus Jupin was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with famous tenor and voice teacher Tony Landy. He was born in 1982 and discovered for his extraordinary singing talent in 2016 after playing the classical guitar for several years.

In 2018/19 he sings Arturo in ”Lucia di Lammermoor” at Opera Hedeland, Piangi in ”Fantom at the Opera” at “Det Ny Teater” in Copenhagen and concerts with several Danish Symphony Orchestras.

He is currently studying with Elena Batoukova-Kerl and Torsten Kerl and works with interpretation with Danish pianist Klaus Lewinsky.
           
Just at the beginning of his career he has sung in Vicenzo Bellini’s “Beatrice di Tenda” and “Belisario” and “Poliuto” by Gaetano Donizetti with the Danish Bel-canto Society and in Mozart’s “Zauberflöte” at the Royal Danish Music Academy.
 
Among his upcoming engagements in 2017 are Gala Concert with Odense Symphony Orchestra, gala concert with conductor Giordano Bellincampi and Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and his role debut as Canio in Ruggiero Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci” and gala concert at Copenhagen Opera Festival.
 
He has participated in the Pavarotti International Voice Competition.
